NICEIC / NAPIT / ECA — the competent-person schemes for electrical work compliant with Part P of the Building Regulations in England and Wales. We accept any of these; Scotland uses Select/NICEIC.
TrustMark — the government-endorsed quality scheme. Our vetting mirrors its code of conduct even where a trade is not itself TrustMark-licensed.

Insurance and what happens if it goes wrong

Every tradesperson on GeraHome must hold valid public liability insurance (typically £2m minimum). If a dispute arises, our resolution team reviews the evidence and can issue refunds against the platform escrow before releasing payment to the tradesperson. You still have your statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 and, where debit or credit card was used, section 75 of the Consumer Credit Act 1974 and chargeback rights from your bank.
