Quick Answer
Gera Action Warranty is a limited service guarantee covering eligible bookings through GeraHome. If a covered service is not completed to the agreed standard, GeraHome will arrange a re-service or resolution at no additional cost to you. Coverage is automatic for eligible bookings β no extra fee.
Why home service warranties matter
The home services market has a trust problem. Anyone can claim to be a plumber, painter, or electrician. Most of the time, work goes fine β but when it does not, homeowners have limited recourse. Small claims court is expensive and slow. Chasing an unresponsive tradesperson is stressful and often unsuccessful.
A home service warranty changes that dynamic. It gives customers a structured path to resolution when work falls short, and it creates a financial incentive for providers to do the job properly the first time.
What Gera Action Warranty covers
Gera Action Warranty is a limited service guarantee. This means it covers specific, defined situations β not unlimited liability for every possible outcome. Covered scenarios include:
- The service was not completed as described in the booking
- The work quality does not meet the standard specified in the booking or industry norms
- A covered job develops a defect within the warranty claim window
- The provider failed to appear without notice
Gera Action Warranty does not cover: changes you requested that differ from the original booking, pre-existing issues with your property, consequential damages, or issues resulting from customer-supplied materials. Full terms are available at warranty.gera.services.
Which bookings are eligible?
To be eligible for Gera Action Warranty coverage, a booking must:
- Be booked and paid through the GeraHome platform (not arranged off-platform)
- Be fulfilled by a provider with a Gera Services Passport badge (our verified provider credential)
- Have a clear service description and scope in the booking record
- Be within the active service territory for the booking date
How to make a claim
- 1
Contact GeraHome support within 7 days of the service date. Use the app or visit warranty.gera.services.
- 2
Describe the issue clearly and attach any photos or documentation.
- 3
GeraHome reviews the claim within 48 hours and contacts the provider.
- 4
In most cases, the provider returns to complete or re-do the work at no extra charge.
- 5
If the provider is unable or unwilling to resolve the issue, GeraHome arranges an alternative provider.
What is the difference between a warranty and insurance?
A warranty (or service guarantee) covers the quality and completion of a specific piece of work. Gera Action Warranty guarantees that the service you paid for is delivered to standard β if it is not, GeraHome makes it right.
Insurance covers accidental damage to your property during a service. All GeraHome providers carry public liability insurance separately. The warranty and insurance are complementary protections, not the same thing.
Book with Warranty Coverage
Every eligible booking through GeraHome carries Gera Action Warranty protection. Verified providers, transparent pricing, and a safety net if anything goes wrong.
